German Support Agent (location Amsterdam)

Your Journey
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Support Agent for our Customer Support Team in Amsterdam to help us in supporting our German-speaking users. Preferably, you start as soon as possible.

As the German Support Agent you’ll be working in a dynamic, international, open and informal environment. You’ll be working in a team that currently consists of 5 support agents, which at the moment handles requests from customers in 5 languages.
Your typical Day
You will be a pleasant and professional first point of contact for ROMEO’s users, offering advice and helping to maintain the quality and validity of profiles within ROMEO.

  • You will be the voice of our German-speaking support by communicating with customers via ticket system, email and online chat
  • You will answer our customers’ questions about our products
  • You will troubleshoot with users and process suggestions, bugs, and other information to ensure we are constantly improving the user experience.
  • You review the bugs/technical issues that users report to see if you can reproduce them for our 2nd level support/development teams.
  • You will help us to translate our Website/App as well as marketing material into German
We look for
  • German (native) speaker with excellent written German communication skills
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Technical background & a basic understanding about how software works
  • Experience in customer support with a good focus and an empathetic attitude to handling customer enquiries
  • Basic knowledge of software testing, mobile applications and desktop solutions is beneficial
  • Experience in working as a translator for German is beneficial
  • Speaking a third language (e.g. Spanish, Italian, French) is beneficial
