We’re looking for a skilled, creative CRM Manager to join the Communication & Marketing team at ROMEO, one of the world’s leading gay dating apps.

You’ll help us shape the CRM function from the ground up, designing smart campaigns that turn users into loyal members, reactivate lost connections, and boost conversions from free to PLUS accounts.

What you'll do

• Reporting to the head of communication and marketing, you will co-build and and own the CRM strategy across email, push, and in-app channels
• Develop and implement data-driven lifecycle and retention strategies
• Upsell PLUS memberships and reactivate inactive users
• Segment users, set up automated journeys, and launch targeted campaigns
• Align CRM activities with product launches, commercial promotions, and user acquisition goals
• Bring technical expertise and best practices to help establish CRM as a core function, including tool setup, system structure, and integration with other platforms at ROMEO, such as Zendesk and other admin tools for user communication
• Understand user acquisition funnels and how CRM strategies can support long-term growth and retention.
• Track and optimize CRM performance using analytics and A/B testing
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Comms, and Design

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in CRM strategy, user engagement, and retention marketing - with a focus on optimizing user funnels
• Proven track record in retention and user engagement strategy
• Technical know-how to set up and scale CRM tools
• Experienced with segmentation, tagging, and automation logic
• You’re both creative and analytical, with strong writing and segmentation skills
• Able to manage multiple campaigns and adapt quickly
• Familiar with user acquisition strategies to support digital marketing
• AI tools savvy, we encourage the use of AI tools at ROMEO
• Fluency in English is required; additional skills in German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or French are a plus
• Relevant experience in dating apps or LGBTQ+ platforms is a big plus

What we offer

• Full-time position in our centrally located HQ in Amsterdam near Central Station with stunning city views
• You start with a 12-month temporary contract (with the intention of longer term)
• Salary range €4000 - €4500 bruto per month (excl. holiday pay), depending on past experience
